Rough Cut Lumber from Our Smithers Sawmill
Alongside our cants, we cut two-inch rough-cut boards from dry balsam. They come in random widths and lengths and suit fencing, barns, and outbuildings.
Honest rough lumber for real jobs
Rough-cut boards are exactly what they sound like: sawn, not planed, sold in random widths and lengths. They are the practical choice when you are building a fence, a barn, a corral, or any outbuilding where finish is not the point and value is.
We mill dry balsam: the logs left burnt or behind in the bush that larger mills will not take. Every log leaves the yard as squared cants for finished lumber or as chips bound for a local pellet plant, so nothing is wasted.
