Sawmill Lumber Serving Bulkley Valley

Seaton Forest Products is a cant sawmill in the heart of the Bulkley Valley, on Highway 16 between Witset and Hazelton. We mill dry balsam timber and supply forestry products to the region.

Built on this land, by the people of this land

The mill sits on traditional territory in the Bulkley Valley, and three out of every four people on our crew are First Nations. That is not a statistic we chase: it is who we are and where we work. The jobs here stay in the communities that surround the mill.

We mill dry balsam: the logs left burnt or behind in the bush that larger mills will not take. Every log leaves the yard as squared cants for finished lumber or as chips bound for a local pellet plant, so nothing is wasted.

Forestry products for the valley

  • Dry balsam cants for remanufacturing and finished lumber.
  • Two-inch rough-cut boards for fencing, barns, and outbuildings.
  • Wood chips trucked locally to a pellet plant.
  • Custom timber on request.
