Seaton Forest Products Ltd. operates a sawmill west of Smithers, B.C (between Witset, formerly Moricetown, and Hazelton). Our primary business is processing dry balsam logs into cants for export to Asian and/or local markets. We use logs that other mills cannot use so they have previously been burnt or left in the bush. The wood chips that are produced as a result of the milling process are shipped locally to a pellet plant, thus ensuring 100% utilization of the wood. Seaton Forest Products Ltd. has been in operation since 2016 and employs approximately 25 people of whom 75% are First Nations.
